Back in the day, this section of the site served as an archive for the truly horrible poetry that came out of a particularly boring Study of Language class at CCSU. Since my co-conspirator in that endeavor, Jimmy J. Pack Jr., has gone on to enjoy a career as a professional writer, I decided to remove the evidence of our youthful massacres of poetic conventions.
However, I also hosted several examples of the infamous and obscure Frank's Depression Poetry. Frank was a truly bizarre character who I encountered on several of my earliest excursions to Boston, and his self-published book of poetry became a treasured oddity among my circle of friends. In the early days of the web, my site was one of the very few sources of information on Frank to be found online. Within a few years, I was informed that Frank had passed away, and I was finally able to fill in a few more details about the mysterious punk poet I'd met in passing.
I am happy to report that while Frank is no longer with us, he can now be found in all his glory on the Internet - a place where Frank would surely have found himself at home. There is now a site dedicated to Frank's memory, www.franksdepression.com. Do give it a visit. In the meantime, I'm proud to repost a few of my favorite Frank creations...
